We, family and friends, are arranging this fundraiser on behalf of our dear Mariah Miller and her mom, Tamara Michael.

Mariah moved from Baltimore to Denver three weeks ago to pursue a new career as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She packed up her entire life (including her beloved cat, Kevin) for a fresh start in a new city. Unfortunately, Mariah suffered a medical emergency that has left her in critical condition. She has been in the ICU since the night before Thanksgiving and was put in a medically induced coma on Thanksgiving day.

Though our focus is on the day-to-day progress her body is making, we can't help but worry about the financial and emotional toll this will take on her as she recovers. She is between jobs since she was supposed to start her new career next week, has limited resources away from friends and family, and her life plans have come to a dramatic halt.

If any of you know Mariah, you know how she would never ask for help.

We aim to raise these funds to assist with her medical bills, rent, and potential relocation fees back to the east coast to be with family and friends as she recovers.

Mariah is such an incredibly resilient and selfless person. We know she will continue fighting and making strides, but we want to help her in the same way that she would help us. We hope this can ease some of the burdens so she can focus on her physical and mental health during this long road to recovery.
