Hello, my name is Sarah Bates and I live in the United States. I am trying to raise funds to help a young man named Mohammed Ahmed protect and provide for his family. Mohammed had a previous Gofundme, but his receiver could no longer continue the work, so I have taken over and we're starting fresh.

All funds will go directly to Mohammed for him to purchase much needed food and resources amidst skyrocketing prices. To make matters worse, Mohammed's house--featured in the photo--was destroyed, leaving him and his family without stable housing. Please help this young man support his mother, father, wife and two children: Majda and little Jannah.

Below is Mohammed's appeal in his own words.

"Hello friends,

I have been thinking about what life will bring-- not only immediately, but after this genocide finally ends. I have been in Gaza for my entire life, but lately, I feel as if I need to leave. I need to think of my safety, above all else. I need to think of what might be best in terms of even starting to heal from this absolute nightmare.
