The Alverson family has been actively involved in the special needs community. They have been raising awareness about special needs children, how epilepsy affects their lives, as well as fundraising for epilepsy foundations and the Children's Therapy Center, where their daughter Darma has attended. This past weekend a tragic turn of events occurred and the sweet, energetic and always happy Darma unexpectedly earned her angel wings. Her parents continue to give back by donating her organs which will help at least three other children.
