Road to Recovery

Hello friends and family, you all know us as the Campion kids. I, Hannah, along with my sisters Rachel, Sarah and Evelyn have decided to set up this go fund me as a way to support our parents and brother through this incredibly distressing time in our lives.

As most of you now know, our brother David Alex was involved in a very serious accident that led to him being life flighted to Halifax. At this time, he is stable and receiving top notch care by the fantastic surgeons and staff at the QE2 hospital. He is an incredibly brave and resilient man, and we do expect him to eventually recover, however the more we are learning about the extent of his injuries the more we are realizing that this will be a very long road to recovery.

We all really appreciate the thoughts, prayers, and kind words from everyone in the community. People's offers to assist us in any way we need have been a huge blessing throughout this incredibly stressful time.

Right now we are trying to figure out traveling and accommodations in Halifax for the coming months, as well as being able to keep David and Shanea (mom and dad) emotionally supported here in Halifax on a rotation of daughters (lucky they have so many!)

Mom and Dad's bills on PEI, childcare, Halifax costs, along with David Alex's bills are the main finanical concerns in the coming months and any help at all is appreciated.

We know how much David Alex is loved by our community and how valued he is to friends and loved ones. The concern everyone has shown proves that we live in a loving and kind community and for that we are so grateful.

If David Alex was able to communicate right now he would be incredibly grateful for the support but he would absolutely NOT want anyone to hurt themselves financially to support this cause. Please know that any amount helps but do not feel obligated to donate at this time. Moving forward in the coming months there will be a need for support in other ways and we know our community will show up for us when that time comes.
