I am sad to announce my sister’s family in Slovenia had their house raided and robbed of all electronics ( 3,600 worth) while they were sleeping. Yes, sleeping. Crime has increased & become more aggressive since COVID & a few other houses have also been affected. The police are investigating but theft is not covered by their house insurance, sadly.
Thankfully the 5 sleeping children in the house were unaffected but they have been emotionally violated. While most electronic items are a luxury, some were essential for their children's "distance learning". Ales's laptop was also essential since it aids his job ( pastor ) and his own distance education that he started last week at Western University, Portland! He is working on his graduate program.
This has put a huge strain on their family & while I am making a donation myself, I wonder if we can rally together and offer them some relief! They have to immediately replace these items and pay for his school tuition that is due immediately. They are unsure how it will all work out. I am posting this while they head to sleep with the hope of having them wake up and to feel beyond loved and supported during this terrible tragedy.
