Hi--my name is Emily Hamilton. My parents and I are facing homelessness this weekend. We are at least a thousand short of getting even remotely anywhere, then there are moving expenses and signing an actual lease. Because of legal paperwork we absolutely must be out of this property by Friday. Somehow we ended up in a deal where the moratorium doesn't matter and neither does the pandemic. Especially not to this landlady. She wants to move back into her house and now we are desperate.

So far nothing has come up and our landlady filed a formal eviction which left a major dent in our credit reports. We only found out last night (she said she wouldn't do it) and that may be why we can't get in anywhere, nevermind not being able to afford it. I'm doing everything I can, but it isn't enough. The eviction disappears as soon as we move, but that won't help us get out. Getting everything packed and out of here with just my father and I is almost impossible with his health, my own health problems, and my work schedule. We don't have the strength. We desperately need movers, time, money, and most importantly a roof over our heads by Friday (8/6.)
