Butters
Donation protected

Hello everyone. This is Butters. Butters was relinquished by his owners to be euthanized at a local vet hospital where my daughter Kaylie works. Butters had been traumatically injured weeks before being brought in for vet care, The injury to his left hing leg had been left on treated for so long that the only resolution was amputation which the owners deemed to costly. Kaylie was determined to save this 8 month old German Shepard and took him in. Our personal vet performed the surgery last Friday along with neutering and getting him up to date on his vaccinations. He seems to be recovering well.
While we don't know a lot about this dog, it is fair to say he had sufferred physically for some time with his leg and was left unattended & not handled very often. His fear gets the better of him and we are working on that. I think his fear is warranted based upon what I saw. He lets Kaylie pick him up and carry him. She slings him for potty runs and takes him to work with her nights at a local vet hospital. Most important, he just began to wag his tail for the first time.
What brings me here today is to help Kaylie with the $4,000 vet bill. I think if I could help her raise a bit of money we can get Butters to a trainer/handler familiar with the breed after his surgery heals. He has a way to go, but we are hoping to find a good home for him. He sure has had a rough 8 month start in his dog life. Anything you can do to help is appreicated, anything at all.
If you have any questions, suggestions or words of encouragement for Butters & Kaylie, you can reach me via this fundraiser or FB. I will pass all the information onto Kaylie.
Stay safe and healthy.
Best wishes,
