Support Paul's Journey to Recovery

Hello and thank you for visiting our goFundMe. This is for the Paul Frei family in need for future, current expenses In Peoria Arizona. For those of you that don’t know Paul, he is a vivid fishermen as to why his 5 Grandchildren are so into fishing and by his side day in and night. Paul moved in with his daughter Anjela and her family and has been the happiest he has ever been!

Paul has since July 3rd been in critical condition in ICU with multi organ failure from confirmed, extreme heat stroke, he found half way up a mountain at Lake Pleasant mainly unconscious but was a little reactive to his rescuers but his poles/tackle at the shore, his phone/ ice chest was in his car with no way to call for help. 2 boats in total came to dads rescue but it was all because a young man was waiting in the water- marina and he saw something very white up on the mountain (his very white Swiss legs) he went to the shore and ran up the mountain to see if it was a person, he then signaled for the other boat that looking over for help, a woman and a man joined got off the boat and was putting ice on dads lips to try to cool him down, they were bringing cold towels up and cool water until Fire rescue made it to him, they stayed by his side until help was there, as the fire team carried him down the mountain the woman also held his hat over his face to protect his face from getting any more sun. If it was for these individuals coming to his rescue, even an additional 30 minutes, they don’t think he would have made it so these people truly saved our his life.

Our family has been asked many times how people can help so we have created a GoFundMe. We are raising money for his aftercare, medical bills, and any accommodations that are going to be needed to come home as everything is not going to be as it was before, but hopefully in a state that we can just make minor adjustments for .
