medical bills related to cancer

this is a gofundme to clear debt related to my medial bills

maybe you know me because i draw things, or maybe from a prior fundraiser i did. maybe you just know me. maybe you do not know me at all! in any case: hi, i am syd.

in the winter 2018 i was diagnosed with stage 3 invasive ductal carcinoma. we thankfully had pretty good insurance at this time! i was treated through 2019, and began to recover from treatment. a long road!! and because my cancer was as advanced as it was, i still have to see doctors (ask my about my oncologist i will tell you 'which one?') a lot and take medications (tamoxifen).

there's also additional complications, like the fact that when covid hit me it hit me -real- hard and i needed the monocolonial antibody treatment. OR the complication that tamoxifen and the antidepressant i had been responding to really well do not interact well together and so i had to change to another drug.

and then there's the complication that sometimes, your insurance changes. my oncology visits and endocrinology visits are now billed as specialists, which cost waayyy more out of pocket... and it's kind of just stacked up.

i don't feel great about it, but i feel like i need to ask for help to get the financial repercussions of it under control. that is where yall come in.

i'm basing this gfm goal around the cost of my med debt, as well as the cost of my meds the next time i need a refill. that's it, that's the goal here. i am already on a payment plan with the hospital and i still need your help.

i cannot concieve of us going over the goal here really but if we do (???) any extra will go to paying future "specialist" visits and transit fees to get there.
