Hi, my name is Jamarcus, and I never imagined I’d be in this position—reaching out to strangers for help. But life has taken a turn I couldn’t have prepared for, and I’m asking for your kindness and support to help me get back on my feet. Over the past few months, I’ve faced a series of devastating setbacks that have left me homeless, without transportation, and falling further behind on basic monthly bills. I’ve been doing everything I can to stay afloat—looking for work, trying to find stable housing, and keeping hope alive—but without a roof over my head or a way to get around, it’s nearly impossible to make progress.
I lost my housing due to circumstances beyond my control, and since then, I’ve been sleeping wherever I can—sometimes in shelters, sometimes outside. I don’t have a car, which means I can’t reliably get to job interviews, appointments, or even places where I might find a warm meal. Public transportation isn’t always available or safe, and walking long distances every day has taken a toll on my health.
Even before becoming homeless, I was struggling to keep up with monthly bills like phone service, food, and basic hygiene supplies. Now, those bills are piling up, and I’m at risk of losing the few connections I have left. Without a phone, I can’t apply for jobs or stay in touch with potential employers. Without food and clean clothes, I can’t present myself in a way that gives me a fighting chance.
Every dollar you give will go directly toward:
- Securing temporary housing so I can sleep safely and start rebuilding
- Transportation costs (bus passes, ride shares, or saving toward a used vehicle)
- Paying off overdue bills to restore essential services like phone and internet
- Basic necessities: food, clothing, hygiene products, and job interview prep
I’m not asking for a handout—I’m asking for a lifeline. Your support could be the turning point that helps me move from surviving to thriving. Even if you can’t donate, sharing this page with others would mean the world to me.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for believing in second chances. I’m ready to fight for a better future—I just need a little help to get there.
With gratitude,
Jamarcus
