On February 14th, 2022, our friend and colleague Matt Orr tragically passed away due to an unexpected medical event. Matt was a kind and generous person who touched countless lives as a friend, teacher, and mentor. For those of you who knew and loved Matt, you'll know that there was nothing that meant more to him than his wife Trina and son Logan.

 

Many people in the past few weeks have asked how they can help. Your prayers, thoughts, and words of support are very much appreciated. We know they bring comfort to Matt's family and friends during this difficult time. We also seek to help raise funds to benefit Trina and Logan directly, to cover expenses and also to help provide support for things Matt would have wanted for his family.  In addition to being an amazing husband and father, Matt was an extremely talented engineer, teacher, and leader. He spent most of his career in the consumer audio industry, designing products that improved people's life experience through music. Matt was very much admired and loved by his colleagues and business partners, all of whom considered him family. Aside from his career, he loved to go on epic adventures with his family, spending time outdoors, camping, riding dirt bikes, or at swim meets, cheering Logan on with great pride. As an award-winning bodybuilder, Matt was a great fitness advocate for his many friends, sharing information on proper form and the benefits of weightlifting. No matter what Matt did, whether it was a hobby or his work, he did it with a passion, drive, and with his always present love for life.

 

Please keep Matt's family in your thoughts and prayers. While we realize there's nothing we can do to take away their unimaginable pain, we hope that the kindness of friends, family, and community can help support Trina and Logan while they are grieving, providing some comfort and security in their time of need.
