It's hard to believe this is our reality right now. I know many are struggling, and unfortunately, our friend Casper is among those to lose their home to fire. If you know Casper, you know what a special person he is. He was one of my children's first teachers, a caring nurturing soul who sees children for who they are and makes them individual valentines with intricate drawings of their favorite things. I was fortunate to later get to work side by side with Casper and share belly-busting laughter on good days and tears on tough days. Last month, I got to watch Casper in his element as he splendidly played "Cat" from The Cat in the Hat on stage for a beaming audience of families. This is a person who always brings joy to others with his myriad talents including chalk-drawing, face-painting and story-telling and most of all by listening to you and seeing you for who you are.
In addition to losing their home, Casper and Tim have lost their work studios which includes all of Tim's sound and music equipment.
The biggest comfort in these challenging times is the power of community. If you are able to help Casper and his family, please consider making any contribution you can. The funds collected will solely be used to cover unexpected expenses that are not being covered by any other disaster relief aid. Thank you and stay safe. --Lisa
