Medical Expenses

My mother is the most courageous woman I know. She has been battling M.S. for 40 years. Through her fight, she has been a part of several medical trials to try and find a cure for herself and others who suffer from this debilitating disease.  She has taken daily injections and was even stung daily by honey bees.

A few years ago, matters became worse when she developed trigeminal neuralgia.   This causes an excruciating and searing pain through her jaw.  

This past winter, as if she hadn’t had enough, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. While waiting patiently
for COVID  to ease up so she could have surgery to remove the tumor, she fell from her scooter and broke her femur. 

Finally, she had her mastectomy surgery in October and has been sitting in a recliner for most of every day. She desperately wants to have some independence and move about her house. In order to do this, 
she is in need of a specialized wheelchairwhich is very expensive.  She is not able to safely ride her scooter any longer as it is too difficult for her to sit upright . 

My father has been her primary care taker for many years. He is still working at 77 to try and make ends meet. With my mother requiring more care since she had her surgery, he has lost many days of work and funds have become tight. They are not able to come up with the funds necessary for the process of getting the wheelchair made for her.  He has and will do whatever it takes to get her what she needs and to bring joy and peace to her life. He is the most kind and giving man I have ever known. 

Through this whole process, they have never asked for help from anyone. They have weathered this storm together.  Please help my mother have some independence and joy and my father to make the woman he has loved and cared for for 56 years find peace.
