On 31st August, AFC Urmston Meadowside at Lees Field, Davyhulme Road, M41 8QA will host memorial matches and a Pan Disability tournament in honour of Mark Irwin a beloved dad, coach, and champion of grassroots football.

Mark, father to Jack and Oliver, gave countless hours to coaching at Meds, earning his FA Level 2 badge, sponsoring team kits, and helping our Pan Disability team grow from 6 to over 35 players. Rain or shine, he was there – making football accessible and enjoyable for all.

We’re raising funds for a new AstroTurf pitch at Lees Field to support our 80 teams and 1,200 players. Donations will help us secure a Football Foundation grant and ensure Mark’s legacy continues, giving generations of local children the facilities they deserve.
