Jaime's Road To Recovery

Donation protected
On August 14, 2015 Jaime Torres had a bleed on his brain near his brain stem caused by an abnormal cluster of blood vessels called a cavernoma. The portion of his brain that was affected acts as the relay center from his brain to his body. While Jaime can move all his extremities he still has no sensation in them or the ability to coordinate complex operations like walking or fine motor skills like tying his shoes. After spending a month in an Intensive Care Unit and a month in an acute rehab facility, his doctors have given him an optimistic prognosis for recovery. But to continue his progress he still needs a lot more physical therapy.

Before this Jaime was an accomplished musician and photographer who had recently proposed to his girlfriend of 3 years. Everyday we hope and pray that with hard work, dedication, faith and the love and support of our family and friends that he will be able get back to living life the way he once did.

As most of you know, even with insurance, two months in the hospital with a neurological injury can be an enormous financial burden on any family. Please help Jaime continue his journey to recovery by donating today. Everything helps, thank you.
