Help with Jim's Cancer battle
Donation protected
I'm RaGina, this is out of my comfort zone but Jim and I are asking for help.
As most know Jim was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic lung cancer. He found out the beginning of June. June 29th he had a lobectomy to remove the top left lobe of his lung. Along with that, they removed 6 lymphnodes. This caused them to find cancer in one of the lymphnodes.
Because of that finding, the doctor wanted to start chemotherapy. But a MRI of the brain was part of the process of going forward.
When that came back, it showed a spot on his skull. Not the news we wanted.
So the doctor ordered a petscan of his whole body. We had to travel to John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis for this.
More devastating news. Jim has several bone areas that are affected by cancer.
2 left ribs, sacrum, right shoulder, left hip, skull, sternum, c3 and t2 vertebrae in his spine.
He has now started chemo and radiation treatments that are stronger than the original treatment plan. Chemo is one treatment every 3 weeks. There's 3 medications he takes in treatment that he will take 4 different times. Then after that they will remove one and continue with 2 of them every 3 weeks. He is down and very weak from this.
I've had to stop working to take care of him and have no clue when I will be able to return to work.
This really messes with my pride to even ask but unfortunately the bills and fuel expenses will continue to come.
