Jim’s Cancer Battle

Hi friends and family, my name is Alison and I have had the honor of knowing Alaura and Melena Ayers, as well as their wonderful parents, Jim and Sheila, for over 20 years. Two and a half years ago Alaura and Melena lost their mother, the beloved Sheila Welch, to her battle with cancer. Flash forward to today and they’re now enduring that same battle along side their father, Jim. Jim was in a motorcycle accident in December which led to the doctors running a scan that uncovered stage 4 Adenocarcinoma in the pancreas. Having one parent go through this is hard enough, let alone both parents.

I know these last few years have been difficult emotionally and financially for us all. Due to past ongoing health issues, Jim has been on a fixed disability income which adds a layer of difficulty when navigating this new diagnosis. I’m looking to our community of family and friends to support this family in any way you can so they can focus on helping Jim. Donations will go towards moving Jim closer to the girls and his grandson Remy, as well as the cost of treatment and medications. My hope is that with our help, Jim can focus on his health and spending time with his daughters and grandson. Any bit of support helps, including sharing their story with others.
