Brendan's Battle
Donation protected
My sister Terri and brother-in-law John were devastated to find out that their middle son Brendan has cancer at the age of 28. If you know my sister and my brother-in-law you know that they don't ask for anything, they are givers 100%. Right now on top of prayers to help Brendan fight this battle, they want to do whatever they can to help with all of his medical bills, his rent, etc to take that burden off of him so that he can focus on getting stronger, and getting better he has a very long road ahead of him. If you can find it in your hearts to donate it would be a blessing to both Terri and John and Brendan and if you can't that's okay, I'm just asking you to share and spread the word so that we can help this family at least have one thing that they don't need to worry about right now, so they can focus on Brendan's health. I have attached to recent posts that my sister has made just to update everyone on what is going on. I will continue to keep everyone updated.

Thank you to everybody for prayers for our son Brendan. I just wanted to fill you in. Brendan started feeling sick about a week ago, he thought he had food poisoning. It got worse and he spent most of the week vomiting, not being able to keep anything down. On Friday morning we took him to the walk in and they tested his oxygen and heart rate. His oxygen was dangerously low and his heart rate extremely high. We were told to go to the emergency room. They initially thought he was dehydrated from being so sick so gave him fluids.

That didn’t help his heart rate. They did a cat scan and found some masses. We are praying for good news.
No biopsies have been done yet.
They were talking about doing a blood transfusion this morning because his levels were so low, but the doctor just came in and said they increased slightly so they are holding off. This is good news. Thank you all so much for your prayers, please keep them coming.

I just wanted to give an update on Brendan. Brendan was transferred to the ICU last night, his hemoglobin count dropped so they had to give him blood. They did another cat scan last night before transferring him to determine if his blood loss is from bleeding into the tumor, they didn’t see any bleeding, so that is good news. The doctors are pretty sure Brendan does have cancer, but are also optimistic that it is curable. They are leaning towards testicular cancer (the same cancer Lance Armstrong had), but we will know for sure once they do the biopsy. We are hoping that happens tomorrow. Since Brendan is now in the ICU we are only allowed a 2 hour window with him today. And it can only be one of us. That is going to be hard, as he wants us with him. We appreciate everybody's messages, prayers and love. We are hopeful, but we know this is going to be a long tough road for our boy. Please keep praying

Update on Brendan, today's visit was hard. Brendan is much weaker today than he was yesterday. The biopsy is scheduled for tomorrow, so we will know more soon, but I'm just reaching out to everybody to please pray for our son. We are only allowed a 2 hour visit once a day in the ICU and it's only one of us. Today when I left him, I felt like I was leaving part of my heart in that room. Please pray for our Brendan, we need a miracle.
