On Saturday, October 4th, Pat Henderson went to the emergency room after mentioning he felt like his throat was closing up. After blood tests and imaging, he was told he either had an abscess or a mass near his airway and he would be transferred to SRHS ICU. Once admitted into the ICU, he was told he definitely had an abscess and he would be started on IV antibiotics to treat the abscess. The biggest concern is the area continuing to swell and closing his airway so with close monitoring and IV antibiotics he will be staying in the ICU for several more days.
