Our IVF Journey

Hello!

 

We are hoping that our community would be kind enough to support us to complete our family through IVF. We understand this is a big ask and we are greatful for the opportunity to ask for your support!

 

We were lucky enough to conceive our first child, at Manchester Fertility clinic in 2019. Since then we have tried to conceive a sibling for him using donor sperm via IUI a number of times but we have been unsuccessful!

 

As an LGBT couple, we are not eligible for funded IVF on the NHS. We have spent thousands on failed IUI attempts! We have spent all our savings and we are not in a position to borrow more money from lenders. It is very difficult to save this sum of money quickly with our current commitments.

 

I was diagnosed with cervical cancer last year. Luckily the treatments I have had has saved my life and I am currently cancer free and still fertile! This has made us realise the importance of life and family!

 

all of my fertility tests have identified that I would be a great candidate for IVF. IVF will increase our chances of a successful pregnancy compared to IUI. but it is a lot more expensive!
