Rachel's Gastroparesis
Donation protected
A little over a year and a half ago my wife Rachel was diagnosed with Severe Idiopathic Gastroparesis. Her symptoms consist of pain, nausea, loss of appetite, malnutrition and weight loss. Some days are worse then others. Watching my beautiful wife struggle with this illness has been really difficult for our family. She is one of the strongest people I know who always puts on a smile no matter how sick she feels.
Since Feburary of 2014, she has been traveling 8 hours to see Dr. Parkman at Temple University in Philadephia. Dr. Parkman is well known for his research on Gastroparesis and my wife's best option for relief.
Since Dr. Parkman is out of state, there are extra expenses that are starting to add up (ie. medical bills and travel). We are still waiting on an appeal with the insurance company that will allow her to get a gastric pacemaker to help with her symptoms. In the meantime, she is preparing to have surgery for a jejunostomy feeding tube and is praying for a miracle.
Any donation will help. We are so grateful for all the love and support.
