Mathis is our happy boy , 15 years old and an autistic non - verbal angel.
When he was young he was able to run and walk on his tippy toes but today... his walk has become less and less. At this point, we have expired all our options for basic therapy. This additional advanced therapy will require more financial support. We are fighting for the best for Mathis and need your help!
Because he walks on tippy toes, his balance and his muscles are very tight. Our next plan is to see a specialist to create casts to stretch out the tendons. After this process, he will need intensive physical therapy.
We have been encouraged to purchase prism lenses and meet with an developmental optometrist. This has shown to assist other children with Autism-with remarkable results and improvments.
New studies have shown that a MULTI SENSORY ROOM is crucial for development of key life skills- including gross motor skills, fine motor skills and vocalization. The room will provide a variety of therapeutic activities. We need to build and purchase equipment for the room.
This is not irreversible, we can do something TOGETHER!!! Mathis is young and we can change and give to him a better life...
