My name is Hernan Navarro, and I’m reaching out during the most heartbreaking time of my life. My father, Rogger Navarro who has always been the rock of our family, has been diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer.

Over the past few weeks, our world has been turned upside down. After having Brain Surgery he lost feeling on his whole right side and his ability to talk. My dad recently had to be intubated again due to hydrocephalus, a dangerous buildup of fluid in his brain. Watching him struggle to breathe and fight for his life has been devastating for our entire family.

He is currently in the ICU, and while the doctors and nurses are doing everything they can, his road to recovery doesn’t end in the hospital. After each step forward, there have been painful setbacks. My dad will need extensive rehabilitation and specialized care to have a chance at regaining even a small piece of his independence and to be able to have quality of life so we can spend the rest of the time we have with him— but we simply don’t have the financial resources to make this possible.

My father has always been a hard-working, selfless man. He’s the type of person who would give his last dollar to someone in need. Seeing him in this vulnerable state, knowing that we might lose him too soon, has been unbearable.

We are humbly asking for help. Every single donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward:

• Life-saving treatments and rehabilitation

• Medical equipment and home care needs

• Transportation and follow-up appointments

Mi nombre es Hernan Navarro, y estoy pidiendo ayuda en el momento más difícil de mi vida. Mi papá Rogger Navarro, quien siempre ha sido la roca y el corazón de nuestra familia, fue diagnosticado con glioblastoma en etapa 4, una de las formas más agresivas de cáncer cerebral.

En las últimas semanas, nuestro mundo se ha desmoronado. Después de una cirugía cerebral, perdió la sensibilidad de todo su lado derecho y su capacidad de hablar. Mi papá tuvo que ser intubado nuevamente debido a hidrocefalia, una peligrosa acumulación de líquido en el cerebro. Verlo luchar por respirar y pelear por su vida ha sido desgarrador para toda nuestra familia.

Actualmente se encuentra en la UCI, y aunque los doctores y enfermeras están haciendo todo lo posible por él, su camino hacia la recuperación no termina en el hospital. Cada pequeño avance ha venido acompañado de dolorosos retrocesos. Mi papá necesitará rehabilitación intensiva y cuidados especializados para tener la oportunidad de recuperar aunque sea una parte de su independencia, pero no contamos con los recursos económicos para brindarle el tratamiento que necesita.

Mi padre siempre ha sido un hombre trabajador, noble y generoso. Es la clase de persona que daría su último dólar para ayudar a alguien más. Verlo en este estado tan vulnerable y saber que podríamos perderlo demasiado pronto ha sido devastador.

Estamos pidiendo humildemente su apoyo. Cada donación, por pequeña que sea, se destinará directamente a:
