Help Bear Get Top Surgery

Hi, my name is Bear, and I have been transitioning for over three years and a year and a half on testosterone. Now, for the first time since starting puberty, I want to feel comfortable in my body by getting a double mastectomy. I am excited to announce I have a surgery date in January 2024!!

Every little bit is a huge help, and sharing this page is just as helpful as well!

As some of you may know, I wear a chest binder daily and have for many years. Although a generally safe practice, which significantly alleviates my gender dysphoria and anxiety, this has significantly hindered my health over time. I am unable to exercise, often get headaches from the restriction of blood flow, get out of breath quickly and painfully, and occasionally experience rib pain that leaves me bedridden. On top of that, my dysphoria surrounding my chest often makes it hard to wear clothes like t-shirts, or swimwear, or even shower. As I'm sure you can understand, this surgery would change my quality of life drastically for the better. Everyone deserves to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin.

I am a full-time college student with 2 jobs, and this surgery though partly covered by insurance is still way out of my budget. The entirety of the funds would go to the cost of my top surgery and recovery.
