It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Shayaa Aquil Zaahir Roberts, a beloved partner to me, Fadia, a devoted father to our three children, and a cherished friend to many. Shayaa was the embodiment of strength, love, and loyalty. His sudden departure has left us all in a state of disbelief and profound sorrow.
Shayaa’s life was a testament to the power of compassion and friendship. His ability to light up the darkest rooms with his humor and warmth made every moment with him unforgettable. Shayaa had a heart of gold, always putting others before himself and spreading love wherever he went.
As we prepare to bid our final farewell, we aim to give Shayaa the beautiful and dignified send-off he deserves. The funeral arrangements have been made with great care and respect, reflecting the love and esteem we all hold for Shayaa. However, the unforeseen financial strain of these arrangements has been significant.
The cost of the funeral and associated services are over $20k. Despite managing to cover the majority, we are faced with an outstanding balance of $6,000. In light of this, we are reaching out to our community for support. Any contribution, no matter the size, will be immensely appreciated and will go directly towards covering the remaining expenses. This will also help alleviate the financial pressure, allowing me to preserve the funds initially saved for our daughter’s university education.
