Our dad Barry Moses, unfortunately suffered a spinal cord injury at the C5 level of his neck on January 21st, 2023. The past 3 years have been tremendously challenging and difficult for him and our family. The doctors at Hoag saved his life with a fusion at spinal level, C3 through C6 and a laminectomy to decompress the spinal cord. Despite their best efforts the accident caused a complete spinal cord injury and as a result he is permanently paralyzed from the chest down. It has been a constant battle, and there have been significant complications following the surgery. Barry is as tough as they come, and he has been a true warrior facing this difficult recovery but this is a battle he cannot fight alone. This is a situation that no family can prepare for and we are reaching out for financial support to provide the highest quality of life for our parents moving forward. We know this is going to be a long journey and most quality long-term care is not covered by insurance. Our mission is to provide the highest quality care possible so he can experience joy and happiness each and every day which he so truly deserves. Barry and Karen deserve nothing but the best level of care and this is where we are asking for your help. We are asking for two things: a generous, upfront donation to relieve the stress of all of the needs he requires that are not covered by medical insurance. Secondly, and most importantly, we ask for continued monthly donations for the foreseeable future as our family cannot bear this weight alone.
