Mariah's Mission to Africa

I am so excited to let you all know that God has given me the opportunity to serve, this July, in Uganda, Africa. I have committed to spending one month to work mostly as a nurse in the village clinic. While a majority of my time will be spent serving on medical mission, I will also be building relationships with the people of Uganda, leading bible studies with the youth in the village, serving at the primary school and babies home, as well as any manual labor needed.
Since I was a senior in high school I have had a desire to serve on medical mission and it is exciting to see where the Lord is taking me. I am now about to graduate college with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing and God has given me an opportunity to use my passion for nursing to spread the gospel. While it is a big step, I serve a much bigger God who I know will equip me.
My hope is that lives will be forever changed by Jesus working in and through me. I am also expecting to have my faith deepened and my view of God expanded as a result of this trip, as I see God moving in a culture that is foreign to me. It will be difficult to be away from my family, but I am excited to follow God where He is calling me to serve.
One way you can invest is by choosing to PRAY for me and for the individuals that I will come in contact with on my trip. Pray for life change, for unity among our team of missionaries, and for boldness as the Gospel is shared.
Also, you can choose to invest by contributing financially. I need to raise $3,000 to cover the cost of my trip (flight, lodging, food, etc.). I know this is a lot, but I also know I serve a big God who can make big things happen. I have chosen to step out in faith, resting in the fact that I know this is where God is calling me and that he will provide for my every need.
