Ayúdanos a Salvar el Náhuat, la Última Lengua Indígena Viva de El Salvador

Desde Timumachtikan Nawat, nos encontramos en una misión crucial para preservar el náhuat, una lengua indígena en peligro de extinción. Con menos de 200 hablantes nativos, es vital actuar ahora y crear espacios para su aprendizaje gratuito.

¿Qué estamos haciendo desde Timumachtikan Nawat?

Estamos organizando cursos de fin año en línea, completamente gratuitos, para que todos puedan conocer y amar el náhuat. En nuestros contaremos con el siguiente programa:

1. Curso Inglés-Náhuat: Para salvadoreños en el extranjero que crecieron con el inglés como su primera lengua y para extranjeros interesados en aprender náhuat.

2. Cursos para Niños: En náhuat-español e inglés-náhuat, para que los niños y niñas también puedan conectarse con sus raíces.

3. Curso Náhuat-Español para Adultos: Para aquellos que desean profundizar en esta hermosa lengua.

4. Talleres Virtuales: Ofreceremos una serie de talleres virtuales con hablantes nativos abordando temas como "Los Llamados del Tunal," "El Mal de Ojo," y la rica tradición oral náhuat, entre otros.

¿Por qué donar?

Tus donativos serán destinados a los talentosos talleristas y maestros que harán posible estos cursos de fin de año que se desarrollarán de lunes a viernes por 4 semanas. Nuestra meta es iniciar los cursos el lunes 13 de noviembre y finalizarlos el viernes 8 de diciembre

Help Us Save the Nawat language, the last living indigenous language of El Salvador.

At “Timumachtikan Nawat”, we are on a mission to preserve the Nawat language, since it has become endangered of being lost. There are estimates of being fewer than 200 native speakers, so it is vital to take action now by creating spaces for the freedom of learning our maternal language and heritage preservation of it.

What Are We Doing at “Timumachtikan Nawat”?

We are organizing year-end online courses, completely free, for everyone to get to know and love the Nawat language. In our program, we are offering the following:

1. English-Nawat Course: For Salvadorans living abroad, those who grew up with English as their first language, and for foreigners that are interested in learning Nawat.

2. Courses for Children: In Nawat-Spanish and English-Nawat, so that children can also connect with their roots.

3. Nawat-Spanish Course for Adults: For those who wish to delve deeper into this beautiful language.

4. Virtual Workshops: We will offer a series of virtual workshops with native speakers addressing topics such as "The Calls of Tunal", "The Evil Eye," and the rich oral tradition of Nawat, among others.
