I, myself, lost my blood brother. For one young man, Valentine Reddick, however, this grief will reach a different depth as he has tragically and suddenly lost his father.

During hard times, it is difficult to find words that provide solace. Thankfully, we live in a caring community that can provide an additional kind of support. We can help Valentine Reddick continue on his educational journey after high school.

Valentine, or Val as he prefers to be called, is a mature, responsible, straight A student who maintains a 4.14 GPA. He plays several different musical instruments and participates in the SHRHS marching and winter percussion bands. He is also a lover of animals, books, and those people closest to him.

Val has high hopes of attending WPI to study aerospace engineering after he graduates high school next year. He certainly has the intelligence and motivation to achieve his goals. With financial support from his community, he will also hopefully have the means to attend college without an additional burden on his remaining family members.

A college education savings fund has been opened for Val in the wake of this unspeakable event. Any and all contributions will go directly towards Val’s higher education.
