Help Kyle Fight Cancer

Hi All,

Our cousin, nephew, grandson, and friend, Kyle Sheahan, is a kind, hardworking, funny 22 year old. He is constantly making his family and friends smile, a light in many lives. We are all in shock and heartbroken to learn that Kyle was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Non Smoking Non Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC).

 

Having been sick with “pneumonia” for several weeks, Kyle’s strong-will knew something more was wrong. Through the past month of testing the cancer was found in his lungs, but unfortunately has spread to his bones and is reaching other parts of his body. The genetic abnormality that caused Kyle’s cancer accounts for only 1% of all lung cancer cases. Although both rare and unfortunate, Kyle’s treatment plan includes a pill-based therapy with high success in maintaining the cancer cells and stopping the spread. With this treatment, he will hopefully not need to undergo chemo, radiation, or surgical operations. Thankful to keep his “hairflow”, this treatment plan is a blessing to him; however it is extremely costly even after insurance.

 

Many of you may know Kyle from growing up with him playing kick the can, or attending Boyertown High School where he played soccer all four years and graduated from in 2017. Kyle is also a recent 2020 graduate of Temple University, where he is a brother of the Pi Lambda Phi fraternity. Out of school for only a year, Kyle has been hard at work studying to attend law school. It’s the perfect career for him and we know Kyle is destined for big things.
