Helping Heather
Donation protected
Friends- I am writing this with the hope that you would be willing to help someone who is very important and special to our family. Heather has suffered a devastating financial loss, through no fault of her own. She is losing her house and will be homeless if something isn’t done to help her! This affects not only Heather, but her youngest daughter who lives at home with her, as well as Heather’s elderly ex mother-in-law, who has lived with Heather for many years now, and her beloved pets, too. Heather has severe Rheumatoid arthritis and is on permanent disability. Despite her poor health status, she continues to do anything she can to help others around her.
Heather entered into our lives 33 yrs ago when she started to work for us as our nanny. At the time we had 2 little boys, Luke and Mark, and Paul was on the way. Right from the beginning she felt like family and loved and cared for our children as if they were her own. Howard and I both worked long hours and she was always there for us, regardless of how long her workday might get on some days. When we welcomed our twin daughters, Megan and Kyra, she took on that challenge seemingly effortlessly.
Heather stopped working for us when our daughters entered kindergarten so that she could raise her own family. Despite no longer working for us, she never really “left us.” She remained close to us all, came to family gatherings, special occasions and was always willing to help out when we needed her. She drove to Indiana and Pennsylvania during the pandemic to be there for our daughters’ (or as Heather would say “my girls”) weddings. Heather lovingly cared for my mother in the last months of her life (when the only people my mother wanted around her were my sister, Heather or me). There are countless other examples I could give, but I think you get the idea. Heather is such a good person- kind, trusting, hardworking and completely selfless - always thinking of others.
So, in this time of dire circumstances and great need, we are asking and hoping that you can join us in helping our dear Heather with a donation.
It is written that “In giving, we receive.”
Our goal is to raise at least $25,000.
Thank you for whatever you can do to help.
