Our hearts are heavy as we share that our friend Tera’s 14-year-old daughter, Danielle, has just been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). This news has come as a shock, and Danielle has already begun immediate, aggressive treatment to fight this devastating illness.

Danielle is a kind, strong, and vibrant young girl who plays for SoCal Volleyball Club (formerly SD Beach). She’s been a dedicated athlete and teammate, and many of us have come to know and love her so much through our daughters' shared time on the court.

Tera and Bryan are devoted parents to both Danielle and her brother, Jesse. As Danielle begins what will be a long and difficult journey ahead, her parents will need to be by her side every step of the way — which means taking significant time off work to support her through treatments, hospital stays, and recovery.

We are coming together to help ease the financial burden so the family can focus entirely on Danielle’s health and healing. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward medical costs, living expenses, and lost income during this incredibly difficult time.
