Update: 1/13/2026
First we would like to thank you all for visiting our gofundme page. Whether you can donate or not, just taking this time to read through or share means a lot to our mom and our family. Above this bio, you’ll find a picture of one of the most beautiful woman. This strong woman is our mom. She has always been the type who gives with hands full, for anyone and everyone without any hesitation or expecting anything in return. She was always mom and dad, and the glue that keeps our family together no matter what life throws our way. She is selfless and the most loving woman. Now she is facing the fight of her life. We don’t want our mom to fight alone, we want her to know how many people love her and are rooting for her. We are writing on her behalf because we’ve seen the physical toll of what fighting cancer for nearly two years has had on our mom. She is in stage 4 of her cancer, what started as cervical cancer has spread up into her abdomen. The emotional toll is so immense and draining. While we would love our mom to only focus on healing, the financial burdens of medical bills, medications, monthly travel expenses for treatments, and every day living expenses are drowning her. She has made the very difficult decision to stop working to focus on her up coming surgery and healing. We wish we could cover it all, but it has become more than our family can handle on our own. Any donations big or small is a great help. Everything will go directly towards her treatments and now surgery costs in Mexico which unfortunately have to be paid upfront in cash. Anything helps in giving her peace of mind.
Thank you for being apart of this process in allowing my mom to focus on healing without worrying so much with the added stress of the financial strain. Even if you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping my family ; above all my mom, in your prayers.
Thank you again for taking the time to read through all this, and for showing your love and support during these hard times.
-With immense gratitude
Laura Mendez and her family
