Did you know?
Only 13% of all Indian women have more than a primary education
60% of India's population, 812 million people live below the poverty line, $22 per month?
COVID has pushed 75million more people into poverty during 2020- 2021 and counting
Taran here, Director of Creating Space Yoga Retreats . As the COVID recovery begins around the world, India is unfortunately in the thick of the crisis and my staff and families on sponsorship programs are suffering greatly. Between the loss of jobs and no Government funding, many families make the tough decision to marry off young women and give their children away to survive.
Together, we have supported 6 people for the last 6 years from the donations made from CSYR and I would like to continue the system we have in place for the next 12-months until business recovers, to do this I need your help!!
I am reaching out to see if we can gather $4,000 to continue the program for another year. The equivalent of 400 people donating $10...
Thank you in advance.

Creating Space Yoga Retreats in a Yoga Travel agency supporting young women, children and their families living below the poverty line. CSYR donates $25 from every guest to the project, which allows girls aged 10 + to stay in school to receive an education, start a TAFE or a University degree, and later be supported with job opportunities CSYR or partnering companies to the brand.
How did COVID impact the sponsorship program?
Due to the COVID pandemic, CSYR was unable to donate funds as the company was closed. The company was lucky enough to have a handful of people raise funds and donate from their own salaries to keep the 6 people on their current sponsorship programs. Thank you to Jazmine Wheatly, Maureen Wray & students and Taran Jenkins. Together the donations sustained 12-months of continued sponsorships to the girls and their families.
How can you help?
