Hope For Bob Senica

Timeline of events and update on Bob: 

As many of you know Bob is currently fighting for his life due to the complications from Covid-19. Bob was admitted to IVCH on July 7th where he continued to get worse and was flown to Peoria on July 8th for higher level of care. While he was there his respiratory status continued to decline requiring him to have a breathing tube. After the breathing tube was placed,  his lungs were so bad that not even the breathing machine was enough. At this time we ran out of options and Bob continued to get worse. We were able to get him transferred to IU Methodist in Indiana where Bob’s niece works as a nurse practitioner for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO). ECMO is an artificial lung that takes blood from your veins, pumps it outside of the body, removes carbon dioxide, adds oxygen and returns it to your heart. Essentially, you can say Bob is on double life support being on ECMO and the ventilator. There haven't been many updates because it's a waiting game. Hoping Bob’s lungs can recover and no other complications arise. Last week he was trialed off the ECMO machine for 18 hours but had to be turned back on since his oxygen levels started to fall again. We are seeing some improvement in his lungs since he was first admitted. But like I stated earlier it's just a waiting game and praying there is enough improvement to come off at least one of the two machines. Bob is resting comfortably, they have him on a lot of medication to help him relax. Occasionally he will open his eyes and nod to our questions but the last few days we have been letting him rest since he has developed a fever and seems to not be feeling the best. I want to thank our community, friends, and family for all the support we have received throughout this journey. You guys are truly amazing! I will update the GoFundMe page as we know more. Lastly, I would like to encourage you and your family members to get vaccinated if you haven’t. I know if Bob could go back in time he would wish he would have gotten vaccinated. I pray you or your family members don’t have to experience the complications of this awful disease. Thanks again for all the prayers, love, and support!

Hi everyone Im Angela Ladzinski from Peru IL and a close friend of Bob and Carrie and their family and I have opened this acct to try and support and help

them out in anyway possible.

I'm not sure who all knows about Bob Senica’s fight with Covid? Bob was Diagnosed with Covid on July 2, since then he has been in IVCH, St Francis and now is in hospital in Indianapolis fighting for his life. Carrie is now able to be by his side for short periods of time as he needs his rest, she wants and needs to stay by his side as he fights this awful virus.

Anyone who knows Bob whether through work or casually or through a friendship knows that Bob would stop whatever he was doing to help someone out. Bobs family means so much to him as he always just wants the best for them. I’m hoping by setting up this Go Fund me for him that Carrie is able to stay by his side as long as needed and to take some of the pressure off of them on their daily finances and their future bills. Carrie Senica will be in charge of this acct after it is set up and will use the funds to help offset the needs of her family during this difficult time and for the medical bills that they will have.
