Shalafa’s Army

On January 28th, Shayla, our dearest friend/sister/daughter/artist/filmmaker/Jedi minister and all-around extraordinary human, went to the hospital for what she believed was pneumonia. There, she received the shocking diagnosis that she has a type of cancer called B-cell lymphoma, manifesting as a fist-sized tumor in her chest.

The great news is that her doctors agree that she can and WILL beat this. 
And if you know Shayla, you know she is nothing but a strong and determined woman who regards life with an unparalleled sense of humor (it won't surprise you to know that she has named her tumor Maleficent and her IV drip C3PO.)

That said, Shayla is facing a long road of chemotherapy and recovery. She will likely be unable to work for at least the next six months. As a freelance artist, if you don't work, you don't get paid.

Any financial contribution you can offer will be an immeasurable help in covering medical costs and living expenses, allowing our Shayla to focus solely on healing and recovery.
