Cora’s Medical Expenses

Hi everyone, this is Megan Mattice, Sarah Vrchota and Bret Ingebretson’s cousin. Sarah and I grew up close, as siblings, so to me, Cora is my niece. When Sarah called and told me what was happening, I immediately started thinking in “job mode” about what supports they would need during this time. Of course wanting to respect Bret and Sarah’s wishes, the decision to ask for financial assistance was not a decision that was taken lightly. Please know that every single cent that is donated will be going directly to Bret & Sarah to pay for Cora’s medical expenses.

Cora was airlifted to HCMC on the afternoon of 04/18/23 after going into cardiac arrest while at daycare. Bret was allowed to ride in the helicopter with Cora, and Dan (grandpa) drove Sarah down right away. They have been by her side since. Cora is fighting hard and is going to continue to fight! She has already made many improvements. The healing and recovery process is going to be difficult and could be lengthy. It’s never easy asking for help, even in these situations, but the last thing anyone should have to worry about right now is how they will pay the medical expenses.
