Ron’s Medical Journey

I’m Haley Bengston, Ron’s daughter. As many of you know, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2017. He underwent radiation and countless surgeries. He has been fairly well since, up until a couple of months ago. He found a knot in his groin and his right leg (along with other things) began to swell rapidly. He was in excruciating pain, to the point he couldn’t even walk. After a lengthy hospital stay and more surgeries, he is back home but not with the best of news. Biopsy results came back as aggressive cancer. Possibly small cell carcinoma. We aren’t sure what our options are at this point. My mother is home taking care of him full time, but their monthly expenses do not stop. He has now been out of work since early February and will not be going back. Not anytime soon at least. Now we have major medical bills piling up. He is aware that I am making this page. We discussed it in length because he is not one to ask for help. So I’m asking for him. He has enough on his plate and the worry and stress of bills isn’t helping. I wanted to do this to try to give him a little peace of mind. If you can’t donate, please pray and share. Our family needs all the prayers we can get. He goes back to the cancer doctor Tuesday and I will update with the news that we get. Our family truly appreciates everything, even the prayers!!
