I have been procrastinating to create this fund, but I think I have reached the humbling point of realization that my situation is not going to change anytime soon and I have put extensive stress on my family. For those of you who know me, you know I have been an independent contractor for the last 15 plus years, working manual/physical jobs that leverage my trade of irrigation, worksite management and exterior home improvement. I get paid when I work. Early this year, I experienced an aggressive bacterial attack to my spine requiring IV antibiotics. I spent 3 months in the hospital in extreme pain, and only capable of walking with assistance. The infection returned a month ago, this time attacking the bones and muscles of my legs and again I find myself in the hospital, will little mobility, risks of blood clots and IV antibiotic intervention again.

I have not been able to work for 7 months. Set aside the expense I am going to encounter from my medical treatment, I have not been able to contribute to my household. It is uncertain what my future physical capabilities will be, but I know that my family is suffering and I am not capable of helping. For certain, I will need special medical devices and treatments upon leaving the hospital, and do not have the financial resources. Any help you can give, monetary, or advice, is appreciated beyond words.
