Help Josh Donohue (16) turn his Motorsport Career dreams into reality, by competing in the Formula Open NZ 2019 Series.
Josh recently won the Ron Scanlon Memorial Series (A Street Sprint racing series of eight events around the greater Wellington NZ region) in his 1995 Mitsubishi Mirage. Just beating out experienced local legends with superior vehicles. Josh won six out of eight rounds. Sound impressive? It was. With some easy wins but many wins down to the wire with only tenths of a second the difference. Josh's ability to keep his cool and produce the times he needed when it counted was what won him the series in the end.
Josh's ability and speed has been recognised and he's been offered a trial drive for the E30 BMW series (we'll let you know how that turns out) and a drive of a Formula Swift F2000 Open wheeler. The latter will be run in the Formula Open NZ 2019 Series and we believe Josh has a real chance of winning this series. This will help him get noticed and could lead onto greater things here in NZ and abroad. The series has many current champions and older NZ driving legends so it's going to be a tough challenge but one that Josh is keen to tackle.
The founders of 'Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game' have seen Josh in action and have come on board to kick start the campaign. We appreciate this support. Look out for the Automation F2000 Swift soon..........and check out the Automation game at www.automationgame.com
With their help, and yours, we're on a mission!
With the generous use of a Swift F2000 we're raising funds to give the car some love and enter the four round national series. Funds raised will go towards tyres, fuel, general parts, entry fees and travel costs.
We're grateful to Tim Sillay for letting us use his awesome Swift F2000. The boys at Thomsen Automotive for offering race side spannering. And all the Hutt Valley Motorsport Club (HVMC) members for ongoing support. Awesome guys.
If you're business is keen to be involved please drop us a message at [email redacted].nz
There's room for more sponsors on the race car.
We'll keep everyone updated on progress via D2 Motorsport Brothers Racing on Facebook here
Thanks again for your support. Every little bit helps and is very much appreciated by Josh and the D2/Automation Game team.
