Helping D'Anthony Drake's Recovery
Donation protected
A beloved employee of the Butcher & Bee family, D’Anthony Drake, suffered a major accident on the way to see his family on the evening of September 20th. Motivated by a desire to provide a better world for his daughter, D’Anthony works at The Daily and at Chuck & Patty’s. On the night of his accident, he had agreed to pick up an evening shift at another restaurant, and after working a 12+ hour day, he fell asleep behind the wheel and crashed his car. We are all thankful that he was not paralyzed, but he did sustain serious injuries, including broken bones, a lacerated liver, and a punctured lung. After multiple days in intensive care and in the operating room, D’Anthony was released from Trident Medical and is now at home. He has a long road to recovery, but he is maintaining a positive attitude, and is motivated to get healed and back to the business of providing for his family and putting smiles on your faces.
Even with this glass half full outlook, it will take several months for D’Anthony to recover. The staff and ownership of Butcher & Bee, The Daily, and Chuck & Patty’s is committed to assisting him during this period, but we cannot do it without your support. Whether that be your prayers, purchasing special items at the restaurants that benefit him, or direct financial support here on this page, we are grateful for it. The Daily will be offering a sandwich special, with 100% of profits going to D’Anthony, and Chuck & Patty’s will be offering Shakes for Drake, with a percentage of each milkshake sold going to the cause. We have also been supporting the family with food. These efforts help but they are not enough, which is why, as his teammates, we are setting a goal to raise $2,000 on this page to help D’Anthony and his family with their expenses during his recovery period. After all, the reason D’Anthony worked so hard was to create a better future for his family, and especially his daughter. Let’s come together to keep them from getting in a hole during this challenging time. Even $1 is appreciated, all the small donations add up to larger ones. If you feel so moved, we would truly appreciate you sharing this page with your friends through email or Facebook as well.
Thank you
