D. D. Ponder’s furnace has died.
Donation protected
D.D. Ponder is a true inspiration and a compassionate soul who not only takes care of her mother but also recently extended her kindness to an elderly gentleman who passed away. Amidst her caregiving duties, she devotes endless hours to setting traps, aiding in the search for 100’s of lost pets, managing Lost and Found Pets Thurston County, and actively participating in various rescue efforts. From putting up signs to staking out locations, mapping out strategies, and utilizing traps and cameras, she goes above and beyond to help.
Often found in her bus during the late hours of the night, she sometimes sleeps there near the traps, patiently waiting for the dogs to go in so she can load them up quickly and safely. Remarkably, she undertakes all of this without any financial compensation, while facing multiple challenges of her own. Now, D.D. has to address extensive repairs for her trapping bus, and her home furnace decided to break down just as the cold weather set in. Despite the difficulties, she maintains a modest 48 degrees in her house with a wood stove.
The estimated cost of a new furnace is around $7000, and she is currently obtaining additional bids. Given her selfless contributions to the community, it would be wonderful if everyone could contribute what you can to support her. You can make a donation to the dedicated GoFundMe page for the furnace or alternatively contribute to her non-profit organization, United Angels, which assists in the maintenance and repairs of her van.
Your assistance is truly valued. Thank you for your generous support!
