Honoring Scott Morrison's Life and Legacy

Donation protected
My name is Patty and I have known Meagan for more than 20 years. I am setting up this GoFundMe on her behalf.

Chances are, if you met Scotty, his voice made a strong first impression. From the stands or sidelines at a game he announced, the fantasy football leagues he commissioned, the hallways of his San Diego high school, or to the community he built with his wife, he learned your name, and he wanted to know you. His sports knowledge was encyclopedic, matched only by his unwavering kindness and deep sentimentality. Scott cherished his relationships above all else. A generous soul with an eternally good nature, he was everyone's biggest supporter and poured love into everyone he met.

On January 8th, 2025, our beloved Scotty experienced a fatal heart attack while at work. He was a devoted husband to his wife Meagan and had just celebrated their first wedding anniversary in November. Moreover, he was a loving dog father to his two pups, Pepe and Percy. In the first week since his passing, we have been told by countless friends, clients, teammates, and colleagues alike, how much they loved just talking with Scotty. He softened the most stoic with a relentless warmth that was authentically his own. He possessed a rare ability to listen attentively and make others feel special and comfortable. Though he had a quiet nature, he always made a point of being present for those he cared about. His sudden loss has been deeply felt amongst the multiple communities he was so fiercely committed to uplifting.

Scott took immense pride in the coaching legacy of his father John, looked to emulate his older brother Matt since childhood, admired his sister Molly's creativity, and cultivated a gentle, humble, and loving nature from his mother, Cathy. He loved his family fiercely, whether that be his biological family, in-laws, or chosen family of friends.

We've received numerous questions about how to best support his wife, Meagan, through this transition. All donations will go to Meagan to provide vital support, helping to cover unforeseen medical bills, memorial expenses, relocation and pet expenses, outstanding family debts and household needs that have become urgent due to the sudden loss of his income. Scott and Meagan recently lost their 11 year old beloved Pomeranian and have outstanding medical/vet bills. As Meagan continues to navigate life without Scott by her side, she is determined to honor his legacy and ensure his memory, unwavering kindness, generosity, and infectious joy will live on.

On Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, there will be a San Diego celebration of all things Scotty. His family and friends will gather at Lefty's Chicago Pizzeria, 4030 Goldfinch Street, San Diego, 92103 from 4-6 p.m.

He was a Chicago Cubs fan, a Chicago Blackhawks fan, and a Green Bay Packers fan. Wear your own favorite team jersey, tee, hat, or sweater, and come have a slice (or a pie) with us and share more memories and stories. No RSVP is needed, we just want to gather if/as you're able.

Scott’s final act of generosity was as an organ donor (www.life-source.com)
