Helping Jack

Jack Lipsius was attacked in his home back in August.  Since that time, his road to recovery was nothing short of a miracle.  He is now able to walk, talk and perform some tasks of daily living, but is unable to cook or drive.  Jack wants to go home and get back to living a normal life but will need a lot of assistance to do so.  He will have home health services in the home but that does not offer extended hours of care.  Local sitter agencies charge $17 dollars/hour for someone to come in the home and assist with daily household tasks.  For Jack, he will need these services for approximately 90 days in order to get adjusted back to living on his own.  This page was designed to help Jack cover the cost of his sitter services and other home care services that his insurance does not cover.
