Help Ameera Survive a Genocide

hello., my name is gnat shira. i have created this campaign for my dear friend, ameera alfarra. she lives in the southern sector of gaza with her family of 9. she is currently recovering from severe lung inflammation and breathing difficulties. her and her family are in desperate, emergent need of funds. they have absolutely little to nothing due to constant displacement. winter is here, and the low temperatures are extreme alongside weather conditions. heavy rain floods gaza with severely polluted water, and heavy winds rip tents right off the ground. this can be very deadly.

from ameera:
My name is Ameera Alfarra, I am 22 years old, a fourth-year medical student from Gaza.
Since childhood, my dream has always been to become a doctor. I have worked hard and dedicated myself to achieving this goal. But with the ongoing war, this dream has become extremely difficult to pursue.
I come from a family of 9 members — 3 sisters and 4 brothers — and as the eldest, a large part of the responsibility falls on me and my father. During the recent war, our home was destroyed, the place that once sheltered us, and now we are living in a tent with no stability and no basic necessities.
My family is facing extremely harsh conditions in securing even the most basic necessities of life. We live under a suffocating blockade, with soaring prices, constant displacement from one place to another, weak internet access, and frequent shortages of essential medicines.
My mother suffers from high blood pressure and blood clots, and she needs regular chronic medications that we cannot always provide. My younger brother was injured during the war when he went out to get some food for us, which made our situation even more difficult.
We are caught in a relentless daily struggle just to survive. All of this places a heavy burden on my father, who is trying his best to provide for the family while also covering my university tuition fees. With no source of income left and no home to return to after ours was destroyed, the situation has become unbearably difficult and urgent.
Despite all these challenges, I still hold on to hope — hope to continue my education and fulfill my dream of becoming a doctor, not only for myself but also to serve my community and support my family.
I reach out to you today, filled with hope that someone will extend a helping hand to support me in continuing my education and assisting my family during these extremely difficult times, which are almost impossible to overcome alone. I also pray from the bottom of my heart that this war will end soon, so that we can all enjoy peace and safety and open the doors to a brighter future.
