Hello everyone my name is Karissa. I have never done this before and never asked for anyone’s help but today is different. I witnessed a devastating event tonight when the water just never stopped coming into my parents home. They are in a flood zone in South Florida and the rain never stopped for the last 3 days and will continue for the 2 days. The water was 15 inches inside their house reaching my calves. They lost everything inside the house all of the furniture is destroyed, all the appliances, and their vehicles were under water. I parked my truck over a mile away and walked to their house to help in anyway I could in the pouring rain and the water was up to my waist. By the time I left their house by exiting out of the window because we couldn’t open the front or back door, the water was almost up to my shoulders. I would appreciate any help that you may be able to give. Anything will help them at this moment to give them some kind of hope. I want to say thank you in advance and they will be grateful.
