Our story begins on June 6, 2015 when Jenn and I married and our two families became one.
We love our crazy, blended life with 7 kids. Maycie-15, Braden-13, AlyeBeth-12, Lainey-11, Addison-8, AnnaClaire-5 and Barrett-3.
Our world was shaken up on October 31 while on a camping trip with our family. I began to have severe pain in my left leg in an area where a prior injury had occurred. The pain was so bad Jennifer finally forced me to go see a doctor for an x-ray-she was convinced I had a fracture. She was wrong - very wrong.
After having an MRI we were informed that I had a tumor growing on my tibia. A couple of days later I was taken in for surgery to biopsy the tumor. I was sure it was benign since I had injured it months ago. I was wrong - very wrong.
Today I was diagnosed with a very aggressive, RARE form of bone cancer. So rare it does not even have a name. It is type 2B - which is good because it means it hasn't spread to any of my organs.
The bottom line is, I will be having my lower leg amputated at some point very soon to get rid of the tumor. I will also be undergoing chemotherapy-most likely after the amputation to get rid of any remaining cancer cells.
I am self-employed. I have been all my life. The doctors told me I will most likely be unable to work for several months while I recover from the amputation and undergo chemo. With 7 kids to raise and a wife to support I sincerely need any help I can get. Jenn makes good money but not nearly enough to support all 9 of us.
Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. I don't want to let my family down. I understand if you cannot help financially but if you would condsider praying for us and sharing my story.
