Christian Bell is a Spartanburg Community College student and GE apprentice in the maintenance department. Christian was traveling home the night of September 30 following our area being declared a state of emergency due to be severely damaged by Hurricane Helene when the unthinkable happened. During the ride home he struck a tree that was blown down across the roadway due to the hurricane. He was ejected and sustained multiple severe injuries as a result. Thankfully bystanders who witnessed the accident were able to call 911 immediately. Christian has a T4 compression fracture in his back, right adrenal gland hemorrhage, left fibula and tibia open bleeding, compound fracture, left ankle broken, right ankle broken, both feet broken and crushed. He had immediate emergency surgery on both legs to stop the bleeding and stabilize them. He is unable to move himself even to use the bathroom at this time. Prisma Hospital Greenville ordered a hoist to lift him for bed changes. Christian requires another major surgery on his right ankle and foot Wednesday, October 9, 2024. He is struggling both physically and emotionally with the current situation and his uncertain future. He is a believer who is trusting God to carry him during this long journey of recovery he faces. If you feel led please donate to help Christian and share also please add his name to your church prayer lists! We appreciate any and all support!
