Jonathan’s Fight Against Cancer

I am raising money for my very close family friend, Jonathan Glidden. Jonathan has been like an uncle to me for many years now and I am so lucky to know him and have him in life, along with many other people. Jonathan has been diagnosed with stage four esophageal cancer which has metastasized to his lymph, which is also stage four. The cancer has also moved to his pelvic bone and his right arm. Jonathan has a J-Tube feeding tube put in his stomach due to him not being able to eat or drink anything. He has currently lost more than 60 pounds and has gotten extremely weak from the lack of nutrients.

Jonathan owns his own salon and is a massage therapist. Since his diagnosis and him becoming weak, he’s had to stop working entirely. Jonathan and his family is going to need help with his medical bills, everyday essential bills, and anything else that comes along with fighting a terrible disease. 

Jonathan started chemotherapy on April 26th and it is an eight week round of chemo. His first chemotherapy treatment was four hours long, but he’s not done with it until days after. He has to wear a chemo ball that connect to his port for two days after the chemotherapy treatment and then have it removed and cleaned. He will be having a nuclear bone scan on May 5th. Jonathan will have to have a nuclear solution hooked up to his port for a couple hours and then will have a body scan done. 

As of today, Jonathan is very sick but still in good spirits. He is a fighter and will continue to do whatever he needs to do to fight this. Jonathan will be extremely thankful for any donation he will receive and is already so thankful for the many people who have reached out to him already.
