Cyprian’s Recovery Fund - Organized by friends
Donation protected
In the early morning hours of Sunday, December 20th, the eldest son of our dear friend Eva Skiba suffered serious injuries as the passenger in a car that was involved in an accident only blocks away from his home in Etobicoke, Ontario. Cyprian is 18 years old and his young life was interrupted a few days before Christmas. After 8 hours of surgery, relentless efforts of doctors and nurses, endless prayers from friends and family, Cyprian started fighting to restart his life and reclaim his future. Cyprian is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at Toronto's Sunnybrook hospital.
While he is thankfully out of his coma right now, he will be in the hospital for the next 2-3 months and is not expected to fully recover for many months after that. He has suffered serious head traumas and will likely need additional surgeries and intensive physio and other therapy during the coming year. Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, the hospital has a strict visiting policy, so his mom, Eva, will be the sole visitor and will be with Cyprian for the few hours that she is allowed every single day.
This appeal is intended to help Eva and her boys. Eva is a single mother who is being forced to temporarily put her career aside to be there even more than ever to help her son.
So many of you have supported Eva with your prayers since the accident. We wish for this miracle of Christmas to continue and ask for your support to show Eva that as parents and friends we are with her on the long road to Cyprian’s recovery.
